Enzyme Therapy

Proteolytic enzymes (or proteases) refer to the various enzymes that digest (break down into smaller units) protein. These enzymes include bromelain (pineapple enzyme), papain (papaya enzyme), and Serrapeptase (the “silk worm” enzyme). Preparations of proteolytic enzymes have been shown to be useful many conditions particularly those involving inflamation. Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme and comes from the Japanese food Natto. We use enzymes to break down inflamation, something Serrapeptase is very effective at, but we also use enzymes to digest food these products can be very useful for elderly people who may have difficulty in breaking down food.
